A Pennsylvania man is accused of trying to kill a teen delivery driver over a late order.

The suspect, 32-year-old Keilan McKeever of Richlandtown in Bucks County, was arrested Monday on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment after allegedly shooting at 19-year-old DoorDash driver Khalik Lewis.

Lewis was reportedly delayed while delivering McKeever’s food order last Saturday. He told Philadelphia’s ABC 6 Action News that he dropped off the order around 9:30 p.m. and was then followed back to his car by an irate McKeever, who demanded to know why he was late.

When McKeever got even closer, Lewis said he started honking and driving away.

“I was just really scared. So I floored it,” he told the station.

McKeever then shot at the car, shattering the rear window, with the bullet going into Lewis’ sweatshirt, he said.

Lewis escaped and called 911. Police later found bullet fragments in the car and in Lewis’ hair.

“Just really scared, honestly. I don’t ever want to do DoorDash again,” Lewis told the station.

McKeever is being held on $200,000 bail.

In a statement, DoorDash said it had deactivated McKeever’s account.
