Three of the six people who died when a private plane crashed and burst into flames at a Maine airport on Sunday night have been identified.

Pilot Jacob Hosmer, attorney Tara Arnold and event planner Shawna Collins were killed in the wreck, according to Houston ABC affiliate KTRK. None of the six people onboard survived.

Hosmer, Arnold and Collins worked with Houston-based law firm Arnold & Itkin LLP, which owned the Bombardier Challenger 600 jet that crashed around 7:45 p.m. Sunday at Bangor International Airport.

The plane arrived in Bangor from Houston and was supposed to continue to France for a business trip, KTRK reported. The crash happened during a winter storm that dumped 8-10 inches of snow across Bangor, but the city’s small airport was still operating at the time.

Hosmer, whose father confirmed his death on social media, had listed Arnold & Itkin as his employer on LinkedIn. Arnold was married to one of the firm’s founders, Kurt Arnold, according to KTRK. Kurt Arnold and the other founder, Jason Itkin, were not on the plane, sources told the station.

Arnold & Itkin is a prominent personal injury firm in the Houston area. The founders donated $40 million to the University of Texas athletic department in 2024, and their names appear atop the scoreboard at the school’s 100,000-seat football stadium.
