Alexander brothers were predators masquerading as party boys, feds say at sex trafficking trial

NEW YORK — Born into massive wealth and propelled into lives of luxury, the Alexander brothers for years got whichever woman they wanted — employing brute force or date rape drugs when anyone dared tell them no, a federal prosecutor charged Tuesday as opening statements got underway at their sex trafficking trial.
Twins Oren and Alon, 38, and their older brother, Tal, 39, brutalized scores of women in a yearslong sex trafficking scheme financed by their massive wealth, Assistant U.S. Attorney Madison Smyser alleged in Manhattan federal court.
“The brothers used whatever means necessary — sometimes drugs, sometimes alcohol, sometimes brute force to carry out their rapes. Some of their victims were underage. Some said no. Some were incoherent. But none of that mattered to the brothers, because they were going to have sex with these victims no matter what,” Smyser said.
“For over a decade, these three brothers, the defendants, masqueraded as party boys when really they were predators.”
The brothers, who are currently incarcerated at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Centre, are facing potentially lengthy prison terms if convicted of a litany of crimes. They’re charged with sex trafficking, conspiracy, sexual abuse by physical incapacitation, and related offenses involving victims who were minors at the time.
The twins are additionally charged with aggravated sexual abuse by force or intoxication. They have all pleaded not guilty.
Tal and Oren Alexander worked as luxury real estate agents prior to their December 2024 arrests, selling some of the world’s most expensive properties and launching the firm Official Partners. Alon worked for the family’s private security company. Their lawyers contend they may have acted arrogantly, living a “playboy” lifestyle, but never raped or sexually assaulted women.
Pointing out each of the brothers seated in the courtroom in her opening, Smyser spotlighted a fragment of the allegations jurors would hear against them during the trial, which is slated to last about a month.
A woman who will testify under the pseudonym “Katie,” Smyser said, would describe meeting Alon at an exclusive party in Manhattan, her memory going totally blank, and awaking to find him lurching over her.
“When she regained consciousness, she found, to her horror, Alon standing over her naked. Katie told Alon she did not want to have sex with him. He laughed at her and said she already had,” Smyser said.
The prosecutor said the panel would see a video of Oren raping a woman, referred to pseudonymously as “Amelia,” and hear from another testifying as “Bella” about being raped by him in the Hamptons while she was paralyzed from a date rape drug.
“She couldn’t get her body to move,” Smyser said. “There was nothing she could do to stop it.”
Smyser said the jury would hear from a woman testifying as “Maya” that Tal chased her into a shower, held her by the back of the neck, and raped her.
“Afterward, as Maya stood there crying, Tal told her that she had wanted it.”
