Christie Brinkley is getting candid about how much cosmetic work she’s had done over the years and which procedures she relies on to maintain her look.

“I mainly do lasers,” she told People. ”I don’t try to get rid of every wrinkle.”

When it comes to plastic surgery, Brinkley said she’s kept it at a minimum, but doesn’t avoid cosmetic procedures all together.

“I’ve dabbled with fillers,” she continued. “I don’t want to look ‘done’ or anything. I just did Fraxel [laser resurfacing] because I had skin cancer and that helps get rid of pre-cancerous cells. It’s mainly about health for me now.”

However, the longtime supermodel admits her five-decade career has pressured her to look younger.

“I was literally told you will be chewed up and spit out by 30,” Brinkley revealed. “The most beautiful thing that’s happened in our industry of beauty is the expansion of what we consider beautiful. And it includes us ‘seasoned’ gals.”

Still, she said, despite seeing “older women on runways and in magazines … it’s still not enough.”

“Age is the last frontier,” she said, adding she remains hopeful on the beauty industry’s efforts to be more inclusive.

The 71-year-old will release her memoir, “Uptown Girl,” later this month, sharing intimate stories, revelations and bombshells from her life and career.

“When I first went to my publisher, they said, ‘Christie, is there anything to write about that we don’t already know?’ And I said, ‘Oh yes, tons!”

Brinkley has been married four times, most famously to Billy Joel, whose hit song “Uptown Girl” was inspired by Brinkley and fellow supermodel Elle Macpherson.

She and Joel share her oldest daughter, Alexa, herself a singer, songwriter and pianist. She also has one son with real estate developer Richard Taubman, and another daughter with architect Peter Halsey Cook.
