DETROIT — Taylor Hale is racing around the world.

The former "Big Brother" champion and ex-Miss Michigan is a part of the cast of the new season of the Emmy-winning CBS reality competition "The Amazing Race," the network announced Thursday. The Detroit native will be partnered with her boyfriend Kyland Young, another "Big Brother" contestant, on the all-"Big Brother" season of the show.

Hale's ex- in the "Big Brother" house, Joseph Abdin, is also part of the new "Amazing Race" season, but don't expect fireworks from the pair, as they remain friends.

Other familiar "Big Brother" faces in the "Amazing Race" cast include Angela Murray ("Big Brother 26"), Rubina Bernabe ("Big Brother 26"), Jag Bains (winner, "Big Brother 25"), Matt Turner ("Big Brother 24") and Enzo Palumbo ("Big Brother" 12 and 22).

Hale won "Big Brother 24" in 2022, becoming the first Black female to be crowned champion on the show. She was also awarded the prize for America's Favorite Houseguest, becoming the first person to win both the show and that title, earning a check for $800,000 for her troubles.

Hale has retained her ties to the "Big Brother" family, returning to compete on the holiday-themed "Big Brother Reindeer Games" in 2023, where she was the runner-up to Ubly, Michigan's Nicole Franzel. Hale also hosts the bi-weekly "Big Brother: Unlocked," where she and former "Big Brother" winner Derrick Levasseur analyze the show's current season.

Hale, who was crowned Miss Michigan in 2021, also hosted red carpet coverage for the Grammys for CBS earlier this year.

The 38th season of "The Amazing Race," which features 13 duos traveling the world and competing in challenges along the way for a shot at $1 million in prize money, was filmed earlier this year with shooting locations in the Netherlands, Prague, Budapest and Romania, according to a CBS release.

The new season premieres Sept. 25 on CBS.
