Trio from original 'Scream' to appear at Motor City Comic Con

DETROIT — What's your favorite scary movie? If your answer is "Scream," the upcoming Motor City Comic Con has a treat in store for you.
"Scream" stars Matthew Lillard, Skeet Ulrich and Jamie Kennedy are set to appear at the November event, organizers announced Thursday.
Tickets for the event, Nov. 14-16 at Novi's Suburban Collection Showplace, are now on sale through the event's website. Single-day tickets are $35-$45, and weekend passes are $100 for general admission and $275 for VIP.
Lillard, Ulrich and Kennedy all starred in the 1996 horror hit, which reinvented teenage horror for a new generation. The film's success — it grossed $100 million at the North American box office — led to a wave of horror movies aimed at millennial audiences.
The film also kick-started a successful franchise; 2011's "Scream 4" was filmed in Metro Detroit, and "Scream 7" — which is set to feature Lansing native Lillard, in his first appearance in a "Scream" movie since the original — is due out in February 2026.
Lillard, Ulrich and Kennedy are set to appear all three days of the convention. Photos with the three stars together are available for $180; individual photo and autograph options are available as well.
Other guests announced for November's Motor City Comic Con include Alan Tudyk, Gina Torres, Brandon Rogers and Nicole Sullivan.
