'NOW YOU SEE ME: NOW YOU DON'T'

Rated PG-13 for some strong language, violence and suggestive references.

What it’s about: The Horsemen, a group of high-stakes magicians, reunite with a new generation of aspiring magicians to pull off an international diamond heist.

The kid attractor factor: Kids might be drawn to the magic and illusions of this action thriller.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Friendship is the most important natural resource; never believe what you see.

Violence: Some fighting, shooting, action sequences, but nothing extreme or too bloody.

Language: Some swearing.

Sex: A few suggestive references.

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: OK for older kids and teens.

'THE RUNNING MAN'

 

Rated R for strong violence, some gore, and language.

What it’s about: An adaptation of the Stephen King book and remake of the 1987 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, about a man in a dystopian future who participates in a deadly game show for money.

The kid attractor factor: Teens might be drawn to the action thrills.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Wealth inequality, authoritarianism and a media monopoly are the best way to foment a revolution. Be the ignition, and don't believe everything you see on TV.

Violence: Some extreme bloody violence and fighting.

Language: Strong language and swearing throughout.

Sex: References to sex work.

Drugs: On-screen marijuana smoking.

Parents’ advisory: Too violent for kids. Fine for teens.
