'RHOSLC' star Jen Shah getting out of prison in time for Christmas

“Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Jen Shah is getting the ultimate gift this holiday season, as the convicted fraudster has been tapped for early release from federal lockup.
The 52-year-old Bravo star — who in 2023 was sentenced to six-and-a-half years behind bars for a telemarketing scam that ensnared the elderly — will have only served 33 months by the time she’s released from Bryan, Texas’ Federal Prison Camp on Dec. 10, People reports.
Shah’s sentence has been reduced multiple times since she began per prison term in February 2023. In August of this year, it had been decided she would be a free woman on Aug. 30, 2026, but it appears she will be free nearly nine months sooner.
Her manager, Chris Giovanni, told the outlet that the early release is “a gift she doesn’t take for granted” and that Shah is “in a really positive, hopeful place mentally.”
The reality personality “is genuinely not the same woman as she was before,” says Giovanni. “She understands the seriousness of the mistakes she made and is excited to put this chapter behind her so that she can show everyone the woman she’s worked hard to become.”
The Daily News has reached out to Giovanni for additional information about whether she will be released to her home. People reports that she could potentially finish out the sentence at a halfway house, under the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ policy.
In 2012, Shah got involved with the nationwide con — which depleted the livelihoods of “older, vulnerable women,” per Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert Sobelman. She was arrested nearly a decade later in early 2021 and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud just days before her trial would have started.
