Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom weren't "bringing out the best" in each other during their marriage.
The 42-year-old model was married to the movie star between 2010 and 2013 - but Miranda admits that their relationship simply didn't work.
Discussing where their relationship currently stands, Miranda - who has Flynn, 15, with Orlando - said on the We Need to Talk podcast: "Orlando and I are great friends.
"I just wished him a happy birthday and he told me, thank you to me for being such a wonderful mother to Flynn and a great friend to him, and how grateful he is to have me in his life. And I feel the same.
"I wish him only all the best for this coming year. We see each other regularly and always have been very harmonious. There's such a base level of friendship and respect there that we both have for each other."
Miranda - who has been married to billionaire businessman Evan Spiegel since 2017 - admitted that she found it difficult to cope with outside interest in their relationship.
She said: "You feel frustrated by the lack of being able to do normal everyday life things."
Meanwhile, Miranda previously acknowledged that being a working mother is a constant "juggling act".
The model admitted that it's tough to find a healthy work-life balance as a parent.
Miranda - who also has Hart, seven, Myles, six, and Kerr, 23 months, with Evan - told E! News in 2021: "It's definitely a juggling act.
"When most people text me, they're like 'How are you?' I send them the juggling emoji because that's how I feel, especially with my two youngest ones, a one-year-old and a two-year-old, and I'm still breastfeeding my one-year-old."
Despite this, Miranda recognises that she's in a fortunate position in her life.
The brunette beauty admitted she sometimes has to pinch herself over the lifestyle she's able to enjoy.
She said: "Sometimes I have to just stop and pinch myself because we have three healthy children, we're both doing what we love."
