While the exact nature of the emergency was unclear, sources told TMZ that 86-year-old Norris experienced intense some intense medical issues within the last 24 hours, though he appears to be in good spirits at present.

The martial artist and action star on Wednesday was training on the island of Kauai before his condition suddenly took a turn, according to the report. He was reportedly on the phone with a friend and joking at the time. Few other details were provided.

“I don’t age up,” he says directly into the camera. “I level up.”

In the caption, the “Walker, Texas Ranger” star added: “I’m 86 today! Nothing like some playful action on a sunny day to make you feel young. I’m grateful for another year, good health and the chance to keep doing what I love. Thank you all for being the best fans in the world. Your support through the years has meant more to me than you’ll ever know.”
