Tiger Woods' teammate has branded his arrest "very disturbing" and called for support for the golf legend.

The 50-year-old sportsman was charged with DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test after being involved in a rollover car crash in Florida on Friday (27.03.26) afternoon and Kevin Kisner has called for people to "move forward" following the "unfortunate incident".

Kevin - who is teammates with Tiger at Jupiter Links Golf Club of the TGL, an indoor golf league - said on NBC at the weekend: "Very disturbing. He was really working hard on his game, trying to practice and get back in shape. He signed up for the US Senior Open yesterday. He was trying to do anything he could to come back and try and help our TGL team get ready, hopefully try and play the Masters."Just a really unfortunate incident. The only positive is that nobody was injured in the incident and we can all move forward and hopefully help him get better."

On the same show, PGA pro and sports analyst Brad Faxon also offered support for Tiger.

Brad said: "He's the biggest needle-mover in our sport.

"You know, where we live in that area, that Jupiter area, whenever Tiger goes to play or practice, it gets around pretty quickly.

"And the fact that he was getting ready to practice at his home club, and thinking maybe he's going to play the Masters. Everybody was kind of hoping for that and we're hoping for the best wishes for Tiger now as he goes forward."

However, golf commentator Brandel Chamblee has urged Tiger to hang up his clubs for good for the sake of his health.

He said on Golf Central: "Why would he need to play golf anymore? I think he should probably ask himself that. Consider not playing golf anymore.

"It's clear that Tiger Woods has a history of pushing himself to his physical limit. Beyond his physical limit. … To the degree that he keeps hurting himself, injuring himself, requiring surgeries … those surgeries and injuries come along with prescribed pain medication.

"And unless you've had your head in the sand for the last 20 to 30 years, you can connect the dots to the pain mediation and the addiction to the pain medication."

Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek previously alleged that Tiger was driving his Land Rover at high speed behind a pickup truck when he clipped the back of a trailer, causing his vehicle to roll over onto the driver's side door and slide down the road. Nobody was injured in the incident.

The sportsman was able to climb out of the vehicle, but the sheriff alleged he appeared "lethargic" and showed "signs of impairment" before being placed under arrest and taken to the Martin County Jail.

Tiger did not consume alcohol -- blowing "triple zeroes" on a breathalyser test -- but allegedly refused a urinalysis. Authorities believe he was "not impaired by alcohol but possibly by medication or another substance."

Budensiek said: "We know we arrested a high-profile figure, but the law applies the same to everyone."

The crash is the second rollover car accident Tiger has been involved in, having previously been seriously injured in February 2021 when his vehicle struck a sign and travelled several hundred feet from the centre divider before landing by the roadside.

Tiger underwent emergency surgery following that incident, but was not charged in connection with the crash.

The latest incident is not Tiger's first brush with the law -- in 2017, he was involved in a crash that led to him pleading guilty to reckless driving.
