Megan Thee Stallion has said she was given a "wake-up call" after being taken to hospital mid-performance during her Broadway run in Moulin Rouge! The Musical.

The singer, 31, who is currently appearing in the role of Zidler in the production at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, was rushed to hospital on Tuesday (31.03.26) after falling ill shortly after the opening scenes of the show.

A spokesperson told the Daily Mail she had experienced "concerning symptoms" and was later diagnosed with extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction and low metabolic levels.

Megan has now said on Instagram: "Last night was a real wake-up call for me. I've been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough. It honestly scared me."

She added: "I thought I was gonna faint on stage, I really tried to push through my performance but I just couldn't. Hotties I wanna be real with y'all because you mean everything to me and I hate letting y'all down."

Megan said: "I just need one day to rest, reset, and take care of myself the way I should have been."

She added: "I'll be right back on that stage Thursday, stronger, clearer, and ready to give you 100% the way you deserve. Thank you for always riding with me and loving me through everything."

A spokesperson for the singer told the Daily Mail: "On Tuesday evening, Megan was transported to a local hospital to undergo a medical evaluation after experiencing concerning symptoms."

They added: "Doctors ultimately identified extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction and low metabolic levels as the cause of her symptoms. Megan has since been treated, discharged and is now resting."

The spokesperson said: "Megan is incredibly grateful for the prayers and well-wishes from her supporters and is looking forward to resuming her role as Zidler on Moulin Rouge on Thursday."

Megan began performances in her Moulin Rouge! role on 24 March and is scheduled to continue through May.

The production is based on the 2001 film directed by Baz Luhrmann, which starred Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor.

The Broadway cast includes Kelsie Watts, Christian Douglas, David Harris and Andre Ward.

Megan previously told USA Today her Broadway debut was something she had long envisioned.

She said: "I was like, 'Wow. I feel like this is something that my mom would've really wanted me to do'.

"I feel like she manifested this for me. So, I feel really excited to do it, and I'm (going to) put my all into it."
