Single File: Agree or Disagree? (Part 2)

Susan Dietz on

Here's the second part of this quiz. Do you agree or disagree with the following statements?

--Everyone desirable is already taken.

--Marriage and children are the ultimate fulfillment for every woman.

--Being single is not normal.

--Being married is better than being single.

--Being an older single woman means being undesirable and out of touch, set in your ways, resistant to change and powerless.

--Being single is an interim stage that should be ended as soon as possible.

--The point of single life is to find a partner and get married.

--True happiness can be found only in marriage.

--Any partner in your life is better than no partner at all.

--Women don't have to save money; a man will give them financial security.

--As a woman, I'm only working until I get married; I don't take my job seriously.

--Women should always wait for the man to make the first move -- in sex, conversation, dating.

--Women who are strong and assertive turn men off.

You're invited to dive into both sections of this quiz now. I confess that my not-so-secret hope is that you're intrigued to take part in the others and then give the book they came from ("Single File") your undiluted attention. My slant on living single seems to be just now coming into its own, some time after its writing -- and for that, I am grateful. Your thoughts are my sustenance.
