Auto review: 2025 Lexus NX 350 continues with purpose
Published in Automotive News
As many car buyers seek larger vehicles that can haul more people and more things, or enjoy the outdoors, others still want the average-sized SUV. And Lexus continues to deliver for this market segment with the NX 350 F-Sport.
The NX350 F-Sport is smaller than the RX class, while still larger than the recently tested UX class. It's smaller than the RX class, while still larger than the recently tested UX class. This middle of the fleet SUV is luxurious, stylish and comfortable, and it accommodates four passengers comfortably and five when required.
The NX350 F-Sport is powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 275 horsepower, the all-wheel drive with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It can tow 2,000 pounds. This grocery getter and around-town SUV is great for upscale luxury consumers who don’t want a big vehicle and ones who want long term reliability. It competes with the Volvo XC40, Acura RDX, Audi Q3 and BMW X3, all of which have similar features with various pricing.
Our test vehicle, painted in attractive Copper Crest, was optioned with the F-Sport Luxury package for an additional $2,865, which included a 14-inch center stack infotainment system similar to other Lexus models we have tested. The system is easy to use and a pleasure to navigate within. A Mark Levinson premium audio package was also included, adding an additional $1,000.
Ever since our test of the recently overhauled Lexus GX, it is evident why the brand continues to flourish with existing nameplates. Unlike other brands, Lexus has had great success with their long-lasting naming convention.
Moreover, the company's service and warranty are just another reason why Lexus consumers are coming back for more. Once you own a Lexus and experience the amazing service and longevity of their vehicles, you will become a customer for years to come.
With the NX in the fleet, we know that 2025 will be a great year for Lexus, as well as for consumers who choose one.
