The kid attractor factor: While this features teenage boys as the main characters, it's a tough horror-adjacent drama. Not much appeal for younger audiences.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Learn to see the world for its beauty, even in tough circumstances. Vengeance doesn't change oppressive systems.

Violence: Extreme and disturbing bloody and gory gun violence and other graphic bodily degradation. Suicide and executions.

'DOWNTON ABBEY: THE GRAND FINALE'

Rated PG for suggestive material, smoking and some thematic elements.

What it’s about: The final send-off for the Crawley family sees them contending with encroaching modernity in 1930 and learning to hand the reins to the new generation.

The kid attractor factor: This is more of an adult drama, but fine for kids who like British historical costume dramas.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Let change happen while maintaining tradition and connections to the past.

Language: None

Sex: A suggested sex scene and reference to sex but no nudity.

Drugs: Smoking and drinking.

Parents’ advisory: Fine for older kids and teens if it appeals to them.
