Looking for Valentine’s Day dinner plans?

Waffle House is inviting customers to celebrate the sweet occasion — but you’ll need to book a table.

The Atlanta-based diner is taking reservations at more than 200 locations nationwide, according to the restaurant’s website.

Customers are encouraged to call between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to reserve, as tables fill up fast.

Waffle House didn’t say how long it’s accepting reservations.

The 24-hour diner, best known for its cheap breakfast and hash browns served “scattered, smothered and covered,” has the same menu offerings on Valentine’s Day that are available any other day, a Waffle House spokesperson told McClatchy News.

“The difference is the location generally is decorated and you can reserve a booth for a specific dining time during the event,” the spokesperson said.

Reservations opened not long before Waffle House announced a 50-cent egg surcharge to keep up with a “dramatic” rise in egg prices.

The restaurant cited the ongoing egg shortage caused by persistent bird flu outbreaks, which led to a loss of 14 million egg-laying chickens in seven states for the week ending Jan. 31, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

“While we hope these price fluctuations will be short-lived we cannot predict how long this shortage will last,” Waffle House said.
