Joe Battenfeld: Deranged Democrats fighting reform, transparency and accountability

The Democrats face a major dilemma: How to fight a popular president who is doing what he was elected to do — ferret out waste and corruption in government.

Yet led by a screaming Elizabeth Warren and aging Ed Markey the Democrats appear to be laying the groundwork for another impeachment by filing dozens of lawsuits against the White House.

The optics are not good for the opposing party. It looks like they are trying to stop progress and fight reform, transparency and accountability.

There’s not enough therapy in the world to accommodate all the Trump derangement syndrome in the Democratic party.

Trump still has huge public support for what he’s doing with an approval rate of over 50%. No more business as usual and that’s what people want.

Trump doesn’t do anything without a reason behind it. Like saying Canada should become the 51st state. He’s a disruptor.

Voters want Trump and Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency to be a bull in a china shop who look at things completely differently and this is exactly what they’re doing — despite the Democrats’ attempt to portray them as precipitating a “constitutional crisis.”

This is not a constitutional crisis — it’s a president who is aggressively trying to act out his mandate to reform government.

“This is what President Trump campaigned on doing,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said in her briefing on Wednesday.

The biggest problem for Democrats is that they’re railing against reform and trying to shut Trump down with lawsuits.

It’s not a popular position to take against a president just elected with 77 million votes. They are only digging themselves deeper into a bigger hole. And any attempts to impeach Trump will only backfire and make him stronger.

One Democrat has seriously suggested impeaching Elon Musk — not the most well thought out strategy.

Who’s the face of the opposition? Jamie Raskin and Warren and Markey, along with the remnants of the Biden administration. The American public looks at that and questions what they’re all protesting.

Did you really trust former President Joe Biden? Do you believe all the bureaucrats in the federal government under the Biden administration?

Markey put out a post on social media listing all the things Democrats have blocked.

Is that what the people really want?
