DETROIT — The Detroit Pistons demonstrated that their loss to the Washington Wizards 24 hours earlier was an anomaly rather than the norm. Friday night, they bounced back in a 118-80 victory over the New York Knicks inside Little Caesars Arena.

Detroit had arguably its best 3-point shooting performance of the season, finishing with 17 made 3s at 42.5%. The Pistons built their dominance in the second quarter, shooting 8 for 13 from 3-point range.

Daniss Jenkins illustrated why he will secure a standard NBA contract by Monday, leading the way with 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting and 3-of-6 shooting from 3-point range. He also led the Pistons' bench unit, which contributed 66 points. Paul Reed was also huge coming off the bench, adding 12 points in 21 minutes.

Amid their exceptional offensive production, the Pistons stayed true to their defensive identity. They held New York to 35.8% shooting from the field and 24.2% from 3-point range. Jalen Brunson was held to 12 points on 4-of-20 shooting, 0-of-8 shooting from behind the arc. Mikal Bridges led New York with 19.
