Pistons misfire with 3-point shooting in loss to Spurs

DETROIT— The Detroit Pistons had one of their poorest shooting performances of the season in their game against the San Antonio Spurs. They made only 7 of 36 3-point attempts, which was a major contributor to their 114-103 loss on Monday night at Little Caesars Arena.
Led by Devin Vassell, who scored a game-high 28 points, accounted for seven of San Antonio's 18 made 3-point field goals. Victor Wembanyama added a double-double of 21 points, 17 rebounds and six blocks. The Spurs have now won nine consecutive games.
Jalen Duren led Detroit with 25 points and 14 rebounds, while Cade Cunningham contributed with 16 points, 10 assists, six rebounds and a team-high three blocks.
The loss ended the Pistons' five-game winning streak. They are now 42-14 overall. Ron Holland II recorded his second career double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
