This year's halftime entertainment at the Detroit Lions' Thanksgiving day game is going to be a little "Tipsy."

Shaboozey, whose smash single "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" has been No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart for 16 non-consecutive weeks, will perform at the Lions-Bears game on Nov. 28 at Ford Field, team officials announced Sunday.

A social media post showed the artist inside Ford Field wearing a Detroit Lions jersey with Shaboozey on the nameplate. "Let's go baby," he says, his arms outstretched in front of the stadium's video screen.

Shaboozey, born Collins Chibueze, was in town on Wednesday, opening for Jelly Roll at his sold-out concert at Little Caesars Arena.

The 29-year-old Virginia native was nominated for several Grammys this week, including Best New Artist, and "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" — his country-flavored party song built on the bones of St. Louis rapper J-Kwon's 2004 hit "Tipsy" — is up for Song of the Year, Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance. Shaboozey is also up for Best Melodic Rap Performance for "Spaghettii," his track with Beyoncé and Linda Martell on Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter."

"A Bar Song (Tipsy)" first topped the Hot 100 in July and is currently tied for the second-longest run at No. 1 in Hot 100 history, along with Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men's "One Sweet Day," Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber's "Despacito" and Morgan Wallen's "Last Night." Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road," with 19 weeks notched at the top, is the all-time record holder.

Last year's halftime entertainment at the Lions' Thanksgiving contest was Jack Harlow. Previous years have seen Bebe Rexha (2022) Big Sean (2021 and 2015), Mike Posner (2018), Kid Rock (2012) and Mariah Carey (2005) take the stage.

Kickoff for the game, which will air on CBS, is 12:30 p.m.

It was announced last month that country singer Lainey Wilson will headline this year's Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving halftime show.
