EDMONTON, Alberta — Right wing Reilly Smith scored twice, including the game-winning goal with 0.4 seconds remaining, to give the Golden Knights an unthinkable 4-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers in Game 3 of the second-round series at Rogers Place on Saturday.

The Oilers lead the series 2-1. Game 4 is in Edmonton on Monday.

Oilers captain Connor McDavid tied it 3-3 with 3:02 remaining in regulation.

Center Nicolas Roy and Smith scored 54 seconds apart in the first period, and center William Karlsson scored. Goaltender Adin Hill made 17 saves.

The Knights got a boost before the game with defenseman Brayden McNabb playing less than 48 hours after suffering an upper-body injury during overtime of Game 2 on Thursday while being tripped by Oilers right wing Viktor Arvidsson.

McNabb, who was initially listed day-to-day, played the entire game.

Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner made 20 saves in place of Calvin Pickard, who is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Captain Mark Stone left in the first period with an upper-body injury and didn’t return.
