A person claiming to have information about Nancy Guthrie’s alleged kidnapper is offering to share what they know with TMZ for one Bitcoin valued at $66,000.

The news and gossip site said it received a note promising a suspect’s name around 5 a.m. on the West Coast and forwarded that letter to the FBI. It included deposit instructions tied to a Bitcoin wallet and said “time is more than relevant.”

It’s not clear if the information being offered is credible.

TMZ and two local outlets in Tucson, Arizona, had previously been contacted with ransom demands. The cryptocurrency account listed in the new note sent to TMZ is reportedly different from the initial wallet to which the Guthrie family was instructed to deposit $6 million for Nancy’s safe return.

The party hoping to collect money for information about the kidnapper told TMZ they unsuccessfully attempted to reach two of the missing woman’s three children. NBC News personality Savannah Guthrie is not said to have been one of those siblings.

The FBI is offering a $50,000 reward for information that brings Guthrie home or leads to the conviction of her kidnapper.

Guthrie, who is 84 and has limited physical mobility, was reported missing from her southern Arizona home on Feb. 1. There had been few leads in her case until video recovered from the missing woman’s doorbell camera Tuesday showed an armed figure wearing a mask in her home’s entranceway around the time she’s believed to have been abducted. Authorities continue searching for clues.

Savannah Guthrie said Tuesday that she and her siblings believe their mother is still alive.
