Katie Thurston's cancer treatment has been paused after spots were found on her liver.
The 34-year-old star revealed in February that she'd been diagnosed with stage-3 breast cancer and she's now confirmed that her treatment has been put on hold after doctors discovered spots on her liver.
Katie explained via her Instagram Story that her doctor "seemed to be leaning more on the cancer in the liver versus optimistic it was nothing. This would put me at stage 4".
The 'Bachelorette' star has asked for some advice from her followers "who are stage 4 in terms of quality of life, motherhood, etc".
Katie added that "two liver lesions" have been discovered, explaining that the lesions are likely to be a sign of "metastatic disease".
Katie revealed the news shortly after she married Jeff Arcuri.
The comic wanted to show a "sweet sentiment of being there" for Katie by tying the knot ahead of her starting her cancer treatment.
Asked how her diagnosis had affected their relationship, Katie recently told Us Weekly: "You would think it would cause more tribulation or problems between you, but it's bonded us more than anything else, which is why we're moving up the wedding a little bit. … We're getting married in two days.
"It was so sweet. Obviously, we were wanting to plan a wedding and there's a lot of emotions that come in with chemo and the impact and the health and we don't know what the next year looks like.
"And one night he said, 'I want to show you that I still love you and that I'm here to stay. I'll get married to you tomorrow.' We flew our parents in from Michigan and Washington State. We got our marriage license and a friend is just gonna marry us."
The loved-up tied couple tied the knot at home on Saturday (03.22.25) in front of their parents and dog Charlie - but they hope to have a bigger wedding once Katie has completed her treatment.
She said: "It was this kind gesture of him saying, truly, in sickness and in health.
"He is proving that he's here to stay. He shows up every day and he does it in ways that just continue to surprise."
