'HONEY DON'T!'

Rated R for strong sexual content, graphic nudity, some strong violence, and language.

What it’s about: A Bakersfield, California, private investigator looking into the suspicious death of a potential client turns up church corruption and police malfeasance during her investigation.

The kid attractor factor: Not much — this neo-noir comedy riff is for adults only.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Never trust a megachurch.

Violence: Some bloody images and graphic violence.

Language: Swearing throughout.

Sex: Graphic sex scenes and nudity.

Drugs: Drug trafficking and references to drug use and overdose.

Parents’ advisory: Way too sexually graphic and violent for younger audiences. Adults only.

'SPLITSVILLE'

Rated R for language throughout, sexual content and graphic nudity.

What it’s about: A recently divorced man is shocked to discover that his friends are in an open marriage. The sexual and romantic antics that ensue send all the relationships into chaos.

The kid attractor factor: This is an adult comedy about marriage and relationships — no appeal for kids.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Things are never as easy as they seem.

Violence: A brutally comic fight between friends.

Language: Swearing throughout.

Sex: Sex scenes and some graphic (male full-frontal) nudity.

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: Too mature for kids, this one is for adults only.
