'THE NAKED GUN'

Rated PG-13 for crude/sexual material, violence/bloody images and brief partial nudity.

What it’s about: A reboot of the 1980s "Police Squad!" comedies about a hapless detective who stumbles into solving crimes.

The kid attractor factor: Teens might be drawn to the broad humor.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Billionaires are evil.

Violence: Some fighting, shooting and violent images and sequences.

Language: Innuendo and reference.

Sex: References to sex and graphic innuendo, a bare male butt.

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: Funny, silly fun for parents and teens. A bit too mature for kids.

What it’s about: A couple become so codependent after drinking from a mysterious pond that it turns horrific.

The kid attractor factor: None — this is a horror film for adults.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Boundaries are important in relationships.

Violence: Some gruesome and bloody supernatural body horror.

Language: Swearing throughout.

Sex: A frank sex scene and some nudity.

Drugs: Smoking.

Parents’ advisory: Too gruesome and scary for kids. OK for mature teens only.
